I haven't made soap in two weeks, but Act III has still been quietly moving forward. As I begin choosing which soaps might become part of my first collection, I'm learning that progress doesn't always look like making something.

My second loaf of cold process soap was going beautifully... until my lovely creamy batter suddenly turned bright orange. I kept going, but I couldn't help wondering: What did I do wrong?
