The Story Behind Act III

Every good story has three acts: the beginning, the middle, and the chapter that comes next.

For most of my life, I've spent my days caring for others. As a nurse, leader, wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver alongside my family, service has always been a meaningful part of who I am.
But a few years ago, I found myself asking a different question:
What do I want this next chapter to look like?
As I began looking toward retirement, I realized I wasn't ready to stop growing. I wanted to learn something new. I wanted to create. I wanted to build something with my own hands while still serving others in a meaningful way.
Around the same time, I became more intentional about the choices I make every day. One day, while ordering handmade soap, I found myself wondering:
Why not learn to make it myself?
So I started reading.
Then researching.
Then experimenting.
And after making my first batch, I was hooked.
What began as curiosity became something more. Soap making gave me a creative outlet, a chance to keep learning, and an opportunity to build something meaningful one batch at a time.
My mother's journey with Alzheimer's has also shaped this chapter of my life. It has reminded me how precious our healthy years are, strengthened my commitment to living intentionally, and inspired my desire to support Alzheimer's research in meaningful ways.
Today, Act III Co. is about more than handcrafted soap.
It's about embracing a new chapter.
Learning new things.
Creating with intention.
And making the most of the time we've been given.
Because we're only given so many Saturdays.
I'm glad you're here.
Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
